Mission
Small Talk Nursery School provides children of all nationalities with a safe, caring and stimulating environment in which they are nurtured and respected and encouraged to become independent learners in a play-based setting.
Parents and staff work in partnership for the well-being of all the children within a school community that welcomes new-comers to Cairo as well as permanent and long-term residents.

Philosophy
It is not our policy to keep unhappy children in school or deny there is a problem. Many children need plenty of time and patience from parents and teachers in order to settle, and we believe in working together to make it as easy as possible for the child. This can mean asking mum, dad or nanny to stay if and when needed.
Small Talk is multi-cultural
Children of every nationality, race, culture and creed are welcome at Small Talk. We aim to help the children learn to respect and enjoy each other’s cultural and language backgrounds and hope that parents assist us in this by sharing and celebrating special festivals and events.
The language of instruction and play is English. It is not a problem if your child has no English at first; children use many ways to communicate apart from the spoken word. However if a staff member does speak the child’s mother tongue she/he may use it to offer comfort or to explain a situation. We also offer an Arabic after school program.
